Our Barn Owls return ......

Had a brilliant day, plenty of sunshine for a change.  Karen added spoonbill to her year list. One flew into Alkborough and fed for an hour before flying off over Blacktoft. Three nests of kestrels, all with grown chicks were seen during the course of the day. Our local short eared owl remains, keeping our eye on that one! 5 barn owls were also seen, in different locations though. But so glad to see these return to this building after an absence of 3 years. We watched them for some time, until we lost the light, but we had a stunning sunset.  A perfect end to a brilliant day - now home for beer and chilli prawns x
