Tour of Britain 2026, Stage Two, Kirmond le Mire

Day two and a drive into the wolds to the hill climb at Kirmond le Mire. It was only a Cat 3 climb which, to you and me, would have been a right puff to climb but to these guys they went up it like they were going for the Sunday paper.....not a puff in the peloton !

Tour of Britain 2026, Stage One, Lincoln

A keen cycling fan (watching, not doing!), I talked Simon into coming with me for the day to Brandy Wharf and then onto Lincoln to watch the men's Tour of Britain. A lot of waiting around for a couple of minutes viewing but it was worth it. Nothing prepares you for the speed they ride at as you will see on the Lincoln video. A brilliant day and got to see one of my cycling superstars....Filippo Ganna.

Our first stop of the day was near to Brandy Wharf. We were on a corner but the speed they rode past was death defying !
