Another one of our local walks that always holds something good. We heard this singing as I parked the car, but we knew they were due back any day having failed with them last week. This one was singing it's heart out, just arrived and on with the it, wonderful to hear and see!
Here we see a prize idiot at Langford Lowfields. The site is still a working quarry and even with a 600mm lens some photographers still have to get closer and closer and then another step closer. Glad the security chucked him off the site for trespassing, he was well off the footpath and got what he deserved.
An evening walk, hoping for a whitethroat to add to the years tally, and out strolled this wonderful fallow deer with three of his ladies. He watched us watching him before he walked back into the trees and disappeared. One of those wow moments !
Haven't seen the sea for around a year and was as excited as a kid when we finally arrived at Bempton.......it must be national roadworks day ! Not too many folk there which was just as we had hoped. Headed to the viewpoints to the right as there seemed to be less people that way and we were soon told that a couple of bottlenose dolphins had been seen. We soon had them in our sights but they were going out to sea but then we picked up a few more close up and then a few more ! Oh my dear Lord, it was a magical moment. We saw around 15 although double that amount were reported. Absolutely fantastic, well made up for the day ! Happy, smiling faces all round !!
