18 Waxwings today outside the Hyundai Garage on Livingstone Road, Hessle. We had mixed weather that was mainly differing thicknesses of cloud and greyness ! The sun did shine for a few minutes and the very close birds looked spectacular during this short time. Lots of showers, some heavy and a hail storm.....good old British weather ! The waxwings kept flying into the roadside hedge to feed but always returned to these few trees, ocassionally drinking in the nearby puddles. The birds all bathed after a heavy downpour and drank from the trees. A brilliant Sunday morning.
