Red-eyed Vireo, Easington

Photos by Richard Willison

There we were in the garden, circular saw out and a decent pile of firewood already stacked in the wood shed. Thought we could have the whole day sawing and chopping this winters wood.....wrong ! Lunchtime and we were dashing to Vicar's Lane, Easington for the Red-eyed Vireo. Mobile was a serious understatement but it did favour one tree with berrys so it paid to hang around that area. It certainly paid off with cracking (but brief) views. The crowds and the speed the bird moved made photography almost impossible, so pleased Richard fired these shots off. Returned home well happy with another UK bird ticked in Karen's list.
