Goshawks, Wykeham Viewpoint

With a cracking weather forecast we decided to head up to the raptor viewpoint at Wykeham Forest. Our annual trip for goshawk. Recon this was the best trip ever as we had 6 birds out infront of us almost constantly. Very distant, not coming any closer than the distant ridge, but constantly in the air, displaying, flapping, diving and swooping. A fantastic few hours.

Always distant but good scope views. This pic shows three goshawks flying through the thick, dense smoke coming up from the burning grouse moors in the distance.
