Ring Ouzel, Barton upon Humber

We really wasn't too sure where this bird was at Far Ings so we started at the far end and obviously failed. We had no idea which was the new pit one as it isn't shown on any map on the reserve and there was no-one around to ask. Infact this bird didn't even feature on the board as a recent sighting. So we gave up and headed home, but Karen hates to fail and wouldn't give in. Driving up the hill towards the main road, she did an emergency stop outside the tip and there well into the sheep field opposite was the ring ouzel. Hawk eyes ! It was distant but still an excellent bird to end the day on.
