Goosander, Cleethorpes Country Park
No sign of the two slav grebes that had been seen earlier today so was pleased with this goosander that flew in, a good bonus at the end of a fabulous day.
Slavonian Grebe, Toft Newton Reservoir, Lincs
Another visit today, this time it wasn't blowing a gale. The grebe didn't really come close and it was difficult to stand on the bank without flushing birds, so good pics considering. Even though we didn't think it was windy, the water had masses of swell and waves like an inland sea !

Red-breasted Merganser, Whisby Nature Reserve, Lincoln
An afternoon at Whisby Nature Reserve to see this lovely bird. We were very lucky indeed, as soon as we sat down it swam out straight infront of us and caught a fish. A fabulous bird. Black clouds and a howling wind cut our afternoon short.
And to top the day off nicely, we watched the Red Arrows practicing some of their routine on the way home. A dam good day !

Snow Buntings, Brickyard Lane
What a brilliant way to spend a sunny Monday morning with only us two there at Brickyard Lane, Lincs. It didn't take long to locate these snow buntings and twite which were constantly on the move. 10 snow buntings and at least 100 twite.
