Ndololo Safari Camp, Tsarvo East

The dining room............now where shall we sit ?

This is us looking for a Pearl-spotted Owlet, well past the 'don't go any further' sign !
We had to get permission to go out of the camp and the lads had to do a full lion check first. Wonder how their sticks would stand up to a hungry lion?
Anyway, although two owls had been calling, as soon as it got light they shut up so we never did find them.

One of the many water-holes at the camp. Afraid nothing came to them as they had had rain and there was water everywhere. Would be excellent in the dry season though.

 Very spacious and spotless clean.

We stayed here on our Tsarvo trip. There was just us there ! Although we were in a tent, it was positively luxury with a shower and flushing toilet, and the bed was so comfy! The generator was switched of at night so the stars were simply stunning. Three lions walked into the camp on the first night, although we didn't see them. We did hear them calling all night and knew they were close. The camp is guarded by young lads with sticks, no fence just this sign. Quite scary!
The only down side to this stay was that when our guide, Albert, rang with the booking the price was $100 each for a 2 night stay. When we got there and saw that we were western, the price increased to $135 each, all denying the $100 booking ! Another $70 rip off !
