Waxwings
This had to be the day of the waxwing with so many coming into the country. We had in excess of 300 at Asda, Hull. The day started very gloomy which made photography very difficult. The birds were also very skittish and unsettled, probably due to the amount of people and cars around the car park on a Saturday morning. After the birds had flown and not returned for a while, Karen went out on a waxwing hunt, quickly locating the birds a couple of streets away. With the photographing masses left in Asda car park, it was a delight to have these 300 birds to ourselves!
