We have just returned from a two week trip birdwatching to Northern India. Places visited were Delhi, Baratpur, Chambal, the Taj Mahal, Sat Tal, Pangot and Corbett. The weather was dire, foggy and freezing cold which didn't help and although we stayed in lovely hotels, most were without heat ! We did have to sleep in our clothes many a night ! The birding was very good with a total of 300, 130 of those being new. Best birds were Siberian Ruby Throat and Wallcreeper. Neither of those being very easy to see! Also saw fleeting glimpses of 2 tigers, wild elephants, jackels, mongoose, garials and otters.
Hope you enjoy looking at our photos.
