Scarlet Elf Cups

Once you get your eye in there are many, especially this year as it is still so wet

It's that time of year again when our elf cups emerge, they are such a gorgeous colourful fungus, beautiful. We keep these a closely guarded secret !

Spring is just around the corner !

The hottest day in the greenhouse so far......not bad for mid February !

Always busy !

The new cold frame with a new path going in as I type !

The only fuschia cuttings to survive the winter

Our spring bulbs are all up and starting to bud and flower. These iris are the first out.......give the planters a week and they will be a riot of colour that I can't wait to show you x

Red Kites

We have 12 red kites that we go and watch not too far from home. Didn't quite get the weather right today, a slight breeze at home and blowing an absolute gale here ! We saw a good 6 kites that were flying at jet speed. Didn't stay long today as the temperature was just topping one degree !  Lots of pigeon shooting around us and when these two set up with dog and decoys spinning, we beat a retreat.

Chitting !

This was the first iris of the spring. Since that pic we have masses of them up and flowering along with many other flowering bulbs and they are looking sensational. I will post some pics later.

Simon built a new cold frame at the front of the greenhouse, it's filling up nicely !

This years potatoes are chitting nicely in the kitchen, can't wait !
