Our spring flowering bulbs are nearly all in flower and they look absolutely stunning this year. It's a perfect pick me up after a long, grey winter. Our favourite this year is the Rip van Winkle narcissus, a very handsome punk daffodil.
Two trucks left McArthur Agriculture, Flixborough in North Lincolnshire early last Friday morning. They were unloaded today in a warehouse near Poznan. This aid is being taken to Lviv to be distributed. This is excellent news, the aid getting exactly where it is needed. There are still 6 more trucks in transit and truck number 10 leaves in the morning.
Got a tip off to go see this gull, just incase. The identification is not certain as yet, but the gull experts of the world are being consulted and poo has been sent off. Hoping that it is Slatey-backed. I will keep you posted !
The gull is at Winter's Pond, East Halton. The exact same site that the White-tailed Lapwing had it's long stay before departing for Frampton.
