Short-eared Owl, Barn Owl and a pair of Stonechats

 

    

just love to see a short eared owl especially when you find it yourself !

a beautiful barn owl that we had hoped to get a tiny bit closer to......until it was flushed by a fluorescent yellow jogger !

What a cracking afternoon walk and it didn't rain much !

Russian White-fronted Geese, Alkborough Flats

 

They were a field away from the path and we could just make them out as we walked down but the local farmer was driving about (as he always does) and flushed them all. Lucky that these few flew over our heads, the rest heading out to the river.
