This is Lucy, our daughter. She used to dance around the world on cruise ships, living the glamorous life, waking up in a different port every day, sun, sequins and glitz !
That seems like a lifetime ago. Lucy is now a Staff Nurse on the Respiratory Ward, Nursing Covid 19 Positive patients. Our hearts are bursting with love and pride. Lucy, along with every other front-line NHS worker, deserves a medal.
Lucy is also a talented artist and has painted a phoenix rising for her ward door, the hearts are for the patients that have beaten the virus. Life will never be the same again for any of us.

Ready for a 12 hour night shift. Lucy is second on the left. There's more to put on - apron and visor and more gloves.
'Once a dancer, always a dancer'
A dance first performed in the streets of Lisbon, Portugal, 9 years ago. 'Bleeding Love'. Recreated on Lucy's driveway last week. It helped her get through a difficult time, a very emotional time for us all.Once a dancer, always a dancer. Copyright: Duncan Johnston. Thank you Duncan for putting this together, it brought back so many lovely memories for us all xx
