Starling Murmuration, Blacktoft Sands

There was definitely starling on the tea time menu for this local peregrine.
He flew past the hide clutching onto one ten minutes later !

An added bonus while we waited for the hen harriers to come into roost tonight at Blacktoft. A ringtail came in just before dusk but flew straight in. This murmuration was cracking and lasted for ages, probably because they were constantly hassled by the peregrine and daren't go to roost. Afraid the starling flock are one down as the peregrine flew past the hide with one in it's talons just before dark. A good start to the weekend. Lets hope the penduline tits turn back up at Saltholme !
