Great Northern Diver
Another visit to Ashbyville today, this time with fantastic light. The diver appeared to do circuits of the lake but did favour the SW corner. There were plenty of fishermen there, lets hope the bird doesn't come to any harm by picking up baits. It was not bothered by these at all, including bait boats sailing out and swimming dogs! The diver has been there for a week now and was originally found and identified by the bailiff. A fantastic day with this stunning bird in excellent company !

Great Northern Diver
Great Northern Diver, Ashby Ville, Scunthorpe. Our second on this site. This bird was found on Thursday but didn't appear on our pager until Friday evening............so on Saturday morning, Ashby Ville was our first stop. The site was very busy with fishermen but this diver didn't seem to mind at all. The light was non existant, as usual, plus it was raining, as usual !
