Our garden this year

It's been a fantastic show of flowers this year especially Simon's fuschias, they have been sensational. Some double, double flowers as big as your hand and my phone pics definately do not do them justice. We have masses of cascading ones that need to be higher next year for full effect, lets hope we remember which ones ! I have a labelling system (when I put it into practice!) ......just typing this has made me laugh 😃. Our tomatoes are just starting to ripen, we just need another week of sun please. The courgettes have been delicious and there has been masses of them. Even got plenty in the freezer although not sure how they will turn out. We are just starting to harvest chillies and peppers and our greenhouse is stuffed with them along with heritage tomatoes which we have never grown before. Recon we will stick with Money Maker and a small cherry next year. We have totally overdone the tomatoes plants this year, we must have 200 plants and they have been hard work if I am honest. Our corn is filling out nicely and this year we have grown Swift which gives 2-3 cobs per plant but does not grow as high. The proof will be in the eating !

Just a few pics below of our garden.

Elephant Hawk Moth !!!!  This was on one of our fuschias (a plant they thrive on), so fingers crossed, we have lots more in the garden. It's a garden first for us and well chuffed is an understatement !

A good 20 chilli and pepper plants in the greenhouse, all laden with goodies !

Heritage tomatoes gone wild !

Lots of cuttings in the coldframe for next year

Pixi in a mushroom tray ontop of one of our wormeries. She loves being with us in the garden x
