Collared Pratincole

After 3 visits we managed to see this stunner. A first for us. This was at Rosper Road NR, Immingham. The bird disappeared for long periods of time but always returned around 6pm each evening. It was extremely mobile whilst feeding which made photography difficult.

White Tailed Eagle

Extremely distant views but photos show it being mobbed by a buzzard and clearly shows the size difference. This bird was in Ruckland, Lincs.

Spurn

An impromptu visit to Spurn yesterday evening was a good end to the bank holiday weekend. This male garganey just hung around for a couple of minutes before being flushed by noisy walkers, much to our annoyance!

Kestrel

A kestrel at Alkborough this morning with a definate broken leg. Lets hope it can still catch it's food.

Black Terns

There were 12 black terns at Messingham Nature Reserve today. Quite an impressive number!

Crowle Moors

A wonderful landscape, especially on a sunny day!

Red Deer

Just sat listening to the newly arrived Grasshopper Warblers, when we looked up there were 2 red deer walking past. We had seconds to photograph them. As soon as they saw us, they broke out into a run and jump at break neck speed !
