Red-necked Phalarope, Covenham Reservoir

We called into Covenham Reservoir for the Red-necked Phalarope on the way home from RAF Coningsby, which was very obliging and feeding just a couple of feet away from the shoreline. An excellent showing of little stints, a dunlin, curlew sandpiper and ringed plover were also there, feeding busily. An excellent afternoon, just us two there at Covenham !
