Squacco Heron, Barton upon Humber

What a cracking bird and thanks to Charlie for the call, much appreciated. Arriving at the bird as dusk approached, and we couldn't believe our eyes as it was sat straight out on the fishing pond on an upturned boat, fantastic! A Lincs first for us and what a stonker of  a bird. It flew round soon after we arrived so we just got lucky seeing it sat in the open.  These flight shots are heavily lightened as it was dusk and light for photography had long gone. Thanks to Charlie, we owe you one !
