Chestnut-collared Swallows

Collecting mud in the town's square

A lovely little town with a thriving colony of chestnut-collared swallows. The local church was open where we joined the locals to say 'thank you' for bringing our little cat, Pixi, home. She had been missing for 5 days, but home safe and sound although a little thinner. Anyway, after the church we drove round to the local school to look at these swallows. Oh my, they were fantastic to watch and just goes to show the difference between people who live with nature and allow these birds to breed and thrive on their buildings. You can imagine the jet washing that would occur here.......
