The first sunny and still day for ages so we had to make the most of it heading out to Rufford Country Park to hopefully see hawfinch. We did not fail ! A flock of 7 flew over, landed for 2 seconds and were then long gone. A hour later, one was heard and Simon soon had it located in the worst possible tree for photography, but everyone managed to see it and this was our 101st bird of 2016 without really trying.
Home for a lovely tea and chocolate cake for Lucy's 28th birthday and then down the Priory for fizzy bubbly! Happy Birthday Lucy xx
